From San Antonio, take US 90 west to Sabinal, then turn right (north) on SH 127 toward Concan. About 3.6 miles past FM 1049, turn left (south) on FM 2690.
From US 83 near Garner State Park and Concan, take SH 127 east approximately 5 miles to FM 2690, then turn right (south). The gate will be the first one on your right down FM 2690, roughly 50 yards past the Frio River crossing. Look for the "Bats" sign. |
Don't be tempted to park outside the gate and enter unaccompanied.
It's a LONG way to the cave, and the property is often leased to hunters.
You might find yourself mistaken for a deer, turkey, javalina, feral hog, or dove!
