If you get any sort of message or error indicating that the file is in use or some other inablity to overwrite the existing Ctl3d32.dll:

  1. Go to the "Start" button, click on "Shut Down", and choose "Restart in MS-DOS Mode".
  2. After the computer restarts, type "CD SYSTEM" (minus parentheses) at the "C:\WINDOWS" prompt, then hit the enter key. Your prompt should then read "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM".
  3. Type "DEL CTL3D32.DLL" and hit enter again.
  4. Restart your computer (Ctrl-Alt-Del keys).
  5. After Windows restarts, you should be able to successfully extract the new file.
